SUNDAY MORNING MEETING!!!!!!

With the recent resignation of the Director of Youth, there are things that need to be discussed in terms of what will happen with the youth group between now and when we get a new Director of Youth, and how we will do it.

Join us this Sunday at 9:00am for an informational meeting about the future of the youth group (in the least ominous sounding way possible).

As you may know, the leaders and parents have already had brief meetings about this subject. This will be your chance to hear what the options are, and give your input, as well as ask questions to the leaders, the commission, and Pastor Jo-Ann.

Also, your parents are welcome to join us at 9:45am for a meeting with Tom Sopwith from Youth Unlimited (formerly Youth For Christ) who will discuss the details of one of our options (more info on that at the meeting).

We'll be headed out to Cloverdale for a night of excellent music! Let us know if you're coming, and if you have a parent that wants to come to, we'll be in need of rides...
Meet in the church parking lot for 6pm; we'll be back by 11pm.
Please bring donations for the food bank along with $6 for the concert.

Dec 12th: HOLLYWOOD NIGHT
...we're going to make our very own movies! If you have a camcorder we can use, please let Danice know asap! A night to remember. 7-10pm, meet at the SQ.

Dec. 19th: ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY!
Please remember to bring your white elephant gift ($5, could be for anyone)

WELCOME TO OCTOBER! September was a SMASHING success, and so let's see what's in store for this month......

Friday, Oct. 3rd - Gospel Project - we're going to help cook/serve dinner for International Alpha.
5pm @ the Church.

Friday, Oct 12th - RAKE AND RUN! Dress wisely for being outdoor, and if you've got a rake, please bring it! We will end back at the SQ with Hot Chocolate and fun times.

Friday, Oct 24th - OCTOBER FEST. Come test out your Halloween costumes! Bring all of your friends and we'll have games and food and prizes and an awesome time!

Friday, Oct 31st - Halloween! There is no Youth Event, but if you're looking for something to do, there is a children's Halloween party at the church, and they would love some volunteers!

FRIDAY, Sept 12th - Parent/Student Dessert Night - Bring your Parents and come to party!!! We'll have some games, some food and some more information about what this year is going to look like. YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY COME!
7:30pm @ Hobbit House.

SATURDAY, Sept 20th - THE AMAZING RACE - Back by the most popular of all demands! IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN RAIN OR SHINE! Gather up all your friends, your running shoes and your rain gear cuz it is going to be the EVENT OF THE YEAR FO SHO!
1pm-7:30pm (Begins and ends @ SQ). Cost = $10.

SUNDAY, Sept 28th - UBUNTU/Jason Hildebrand performance
7pm @ the Church!

WELCOME BACK to the EUR08 team from an amazing adventure in Western Europe!

THIS SUNDAY, August 10th at Stanley Park, join us for...
PITCH & PUTT GOLF.
Meet in the balcony of the Sanctuary after the morning service (approximately 11:30am).
We'll get lunch and walk over together.

Please bring $10 to cover fees and rentals. We'll be finished by 3:30pm.

Hey Everyone!

Your EUR08 team leaves for Roubaix, France THIS SATURDAY, July 18th!

What this also means is that Danice will be out of the country, and FBYM will go on hold as is in Vancouver. However! Please feel free to use Facebook and this xanga page to get together for the FIREWORKS in the next couple weeks!! We'll miss you lots, and do our best to update this site with a few stories and pics when we get the chance. Have a GREAT couple weeks, and please pray for us!!!

Pink is STILL for Paintball and POSTPONED! To THIS COMING SUNDAY, July 13th! So if you were bummed about missing out - this is your chance!

July 13th
SQ at 12:30 (you have an hour after the service to get some lunch)
$12 - includes first 100 balls and gear
We need rides - please let Danice know if you can offer some! We'll be at the field in North Van, just on the other side of the Lion's Gate Bridge.

Please bring:
water bottle, long sleeves, lunch or money for lunch, and a signed waiver... see below for the link.

Also, on July 12th, the EUR08 team will be holding a YARD SALE at 1710 Barclay St. We need all the help we can get if you're available!

Movies and Paint

Hey everyone!

Pink is for PAINTBALL! This coming Sunday (July 6th) after the church service we'll be heading to North Van for a good old fashioned time of shooting one another with little balls of washable paint! $12 includes your first 100 balls of ammo as well as all the necessary gear (gun, mask, overalls).

Also, please bring: extra money for more ammo, long sleeve shirt, water bottle, and lunch. There will be time to pick up food downtown before we leave. Also, you'll need a signed waiver to play - dowload them here: http://www.nspaintball.ca/nspb_info.html

1-4pm - Let Danice know if you have a parent that can drive - they're also welcome to play.

In other news, WEDNESDAY MOVIE NIGHTS begin JULY 2nd! Bring $2 for Pizza and Popcorn, 6:30-10:00pm.

BASEBALL SEASON!

Ever been to a real BASEBALL game??? Now is your chance! This Friday, June 27th FBYM is going to go to see the Vancouver Canadians play the Eugene Emeralds, along with 3 other church groups! Everyone is invited, tickets are $11 - just let Danice know ahead of time to make sure you get the other good stuff that comes along with it...

- extra activities between innings...

- a free gift bag of stuff...
- a seat with an excited bunch of people!

Game begins at 7pm, come anytime after 5:30 to our table outside of Nat Bailey.
